Low Lighting Environment?

Low Lighting Environment?

It's important to consider areas of low lighting in a building, and particularly on stairs, to keep building users safe.

There are several standards (British and European), however, we recommend that on stairs, you achieve 100 lux at the edge of each step.

It's possible to use photoluminescent inserts, which we offer in most of our Stair Edging ranges, but it's also an opportunity to use LED lighting.

LED lighting looks great while ensuring building users can clearly see the step edge. Our lighting solutions can also help users locate handrails, seats or move along aisles and corridors safely.
