ISO 45001
As part of its strategy to enhance risk management, address legislative changes and protect its workforce, Gradus are proud to be a British Standard ISO 45001:2018 accredited company. The ISO 45001 award represents an international standard that specifies requirements for a comprehensive occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. The ISO 45001 standard enables Gradus to provide a safe and health workplace, by preventing work-related injury and ill-health. The standard is designed to assist us in proactively improving our occupational health and safety performance.
The standard was developed by an international committee of occupational health and safety experts from over 70 countries. ISO 45001 follows the same high-level structure as our existing ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) management system standards. This has allowed Gradus to facilitate the integration of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety systems, into one fully integrated management system. An integrated management system benefits us by streamlining protocols, encouraging standardisation, avoiding duplication and achieving more cost-efficient certification.
Achieving the ISO 45001 standard demonstrates Gradus’ commitment to realising the highest levels of performance in health and safety management across the company and emphasises the importance that our company places on safeguarding its employees, our clients and the environment. It also reflects our firm and consistent commitment to the health and safety culture which has been adopted by all at Gradus.
