Select Insert & Channel

R95XT51 stair edging (nosing) combines a coloured PVC-u channel with slip-resistant inserts that extend around the leading edge of the profile to ensure that foot contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging.

It is recommended that channel and insert colours are matched to provide a single solid band of colour that contrasts with the surrounding floorcovering and defines the step edge, in line with BS 8300-2:2018 and ADM guidelines.

XT PVC-u Hardnose is ideal for interior heavy traffic applications including healthcare, education and commercial office, and can be used in conjunction with floorcoverings from all major manufacturers.

XT features a unique insert locking mechanism to secure the insert in place. Inserts are available in Interior or Xtra-grip options in a choice of colours.

R95XT51 is 66mm on the tread and 40mm on the riser to meet the guidance in BS 8300-2:2018. It is a rake back, single channel profile with a 9.5mm gauge and has been specifically designed to be used with cushion backed contract carpet tiles. When installed the compressed thickness of the carpet should always be a tight fit under the back edge of the profile.

Its extended back edge detail allows the carpet to be installed under the back edge of the stair edging, reducing the risk of damage to the carpet where it meets the stair edging and providing a neat finish with no exposed edges.
