Gradus BIM objects provide up-to-date, accurate product data with the relevant technical information to build into projects. BIM objects can be downloaded for all XT PVC-u Hardnose profiles.
PVC-u Hardnose XT profiles are suitable for use with both resilient flooring and carpets (with gauges from 3.5mm to 6mm) and comprise coloured PVC-u channels with a choice of slip-resistant inserts that extend around the leading edge of the stair edging to ensure that foor contact is always made with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging.
They feature a new unique mechanical locking mechanism to secure the insert in place, making them ideal for use in areas where more intensive cleaning is required e.g. healthcare and school environments.
Selecting the channel and insert in the same colour provides the ideal solution for creating a single, solid band of colour that contrasts with the surrounding floorcovering to define the edge of the step in line with BS 8493:2008+A1:2010 (Light Reflectance Values - LRVs), BS 8300-2:2018 and Approved Document M guidelines. All Gradus stair edging channel and insert colours are measured for LRVs and the measurements are shown upon selection of the colour.
Slip-resistant inserts are available for both interior dry and interior wet conditions (environments where there is a risk of the stair edging becoming wet from either spillage or tracked in moisture e.g. steps close to entrances, near canteens or food/vending areas).
Select Interior insert for dry conditions and Xtra-grip insert for environments where there is a risk of the stair edgings becoming wet or where more frequent cleaning is likely such as catering and food preparation areas.
