Meet the Team - Brontie Bennett

Our Marketing Product Manager for Wall Protection!

We interviewed Brontie Bennett our Gradus Marketing Product Manager for Wall Protection and asked her a few questions about herself and her journey so far within the business.

What do you like about your role and the products you work with?

I have worked in Marketing for a few years now and have gained experience in different areas of Marketing through various roles in my career. I am a creative person so have a natural affinity to the research and design side of things, but I would also consider myself a problem solver – which is exactly what Marketing is, in my opinion! There are so many elements to Marketing which is why I find it so interesting as I like to be busy with new challenges when working. Working with Gradus Wall Protection products and the broader Healthcare offering has been interesting for me as it wasn’t an area that I had much experience in prior to joining the team. I enjoy seeing the tangible positive impact Gradus products have in healthcare facilities and the patients and staff that use them.

What are challenges in the Healthcare sector?

There are many challenges facing the NHS and wider healthcare sector, but a current challenge is resilient products that are also sustainable. There is a need to reduce the embodied carbon of new builds, by using more recycled and natural materials. However, it is equally important to consider operational carbon emissions when it comes to healthcare facilities. Cleaning and maintenance schedules can contribute massively to operational carbon, as well as repair and maintenance to walls and floors. Specifying durable and hygienic products like PVC-u Wall Protection and Vinyl flooring can drastically reduce a buildings operational carbon over the next 25 years.

Favourite Gradus solution and why?

Gradus has recently launched SureProtect Artworx, a bespoke digitally printed wall cladding sheet. This is such a great product as the possibilities are endless! I enjoyed working with Kate Bond to create a bespoke large-scale mural to celebrate the launch, taking inspiration from the Peak District. Watching the design elements come to life has been fun and the reception the product has received in the market has been overwhelmingly positive.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Nothing beats curling up with a good book and a brew, but otherwise you can find me trekking with my other half and pup Barkley around Staffordshire and the Peak District!
