Collectively, our oceans and their inhabitants have never been more in our consciousnesses. While recent news has covered plastic straws and paper cups, we've been a partner of Aquafil for many years and use their ECONYL product in several of our carpet ranges.
ECONYL solution dyed nylon is made using a regeneration system that starts with rescuing waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans. The waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible.
Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back into its original purity.
ECONYL regenerated solution dyed nylon is then processed in to carpet yarn and used to manufacture several of our carpet tile ranges.
