GREAT STRANDS FOR WESTON HOUSE
Gradus Fabrics have been fitted throughout Weston House, a new transitional care hotel at Great Ormond Street Hospital, providing a warm, homely feel for the patients, whilst still meeting NHS standards.
The new building, which consists of eight flats and 30 bedrooms, has been built to provide accommodation for children who are being treated as outpatients and it also provides a residence for families to stay with patients throughout their treatment period.
Gradus Fabric Strand was specified in Asparagus (a mid green shade), for all curtain requirements within the building, complementing the modern hotel-style design scheme, created to provide comfortable and relaxing surroundings for the patients. Strand is also constructed with 100% FR inherently flame retardant polyester to meet NHS standard performance requirements and making it an ideal choice for the healthcare environment.
Great Ormond Street specified Strand from Gradus Fabrics because of its combination of aesthetic and functional properties, which met the hospital’s budgetary requirements, as Dena Vadgama, Procurement Manager for the Weston House development comments:
