Accessories specialist Gradus has launched a new website dedicated to its innovative XT range of stair edgings, providing specifiers with a comprehensive online specification guide.

Visitors to HYPERLINK "" can access details of all 16 XT profiles, including dimensions, features and material options, as well as information on the range of XT insert colours available. Aided by interactive and informative diagrams of XT stair edgings, the website also previews the innovative new Xtra-Grip insert available from November 2007, which incorporates mineral aggregate and a superior wear layer to reduce the risk of slip in both dry and wet conditions.

In addition, the new site offers users comprehensive specification guidance relating to the latest BRE research into non-domestic stair safety, as well as satisfying the requirements of Part M of the Buildings Regulations. Plus, a whole host of useful information is available to download, including XT installation case studies, CAD drawings, NBS specifications and wear and slip resistance test results.

The XT range is the latest addition to Gradus’ stair edgings portfolio and features slip-resistant inserts that extend around the leading edge of the step to maximise safety underfoot, in line with the latest recommendations from BRE.

Lynette Bowden, Marketing Manager for Gradus Accessories, comments: “The aim of the new XT website is to simplify and aid the specification process by providing specifiers with detailed information and support in an accessible online format.”

The launch of the new XT website coincides with the recent introduction of a comprehensive new specification guide, detailing the full range of Gradus stair edgings and floor trims.

The XT range incorporates 55mm treads and both 40mm and 55mm risers to meet the guidance in Part M, and specifiers can choose from 11 different coloured inserts to provide colour contrast with surrounding floorcoverings.
