GRADUS HELPS WILLOWS RESIDENTS FEEL AT HOME
Fabrics from Gradus have been fitted throughout a new extension at the Willows Nursing Home, Chester, providing a home from home feel to the interior, whilst still meeting performance and safety requirements.
Following previous and successful specifications of Gradus Fabrics, Willows Nursing Home chose products from the popular Vista, Inspirations and Bridgeford ranges for curtain and duvet cover requirements, across the 25 bedrooms, two lounges, dining room and corridors.
As a home for the elderly, Willows Nursing Home was keen to create a pleasant and homely environment for the residents and the wide variety of colour options and design flexibility offered by Gradus, allowed these requirements to be met. In addition, the complete supply and fit service that Gradus could offer, proved extremely influential in the decision making process.
The new Vista range, which embraces excellent durability, resilience and ease of care properties, was selected for the bedrooms. From the eight designs available, Taiga, a small-scale cluster block design was chosen for the duvet covers, gathered valances and tiebacks. Alternatively, its coordinate, Tundra, a contemporary floral style, combined with panels featuring the Taiga design was chosen for the curtains.
Both of these designs, chosen to complement the carpet and Terracotta décor, provide a warm feel to the room, whilst ensuring residents are comfortable and relaxed in their surroundings.
The stately elegance of the Bridgeford range was supplied for the corridors, with Wysall, an abstract floral block design used for the curtains and Hickling, a contemporary floral cluster used for the gathered valances and tie backs. Both designs were supplied in Amethyst, creating a soothing and contemporary feel.
The classic, sophisticated style of the Ragtime design, an elegant floral print, was carefully selected from the Inspirations range for the curtains, pelmets and tie-backs within the two lounges and dining room. The design was chosen in a soft cream shade for the lounge, ensuring a homely atmosphere was achieved, whilst a bright blue colour was selected for the dining room, for a bright, cheerful effect.
