Esplanade 9000 has been specially developed for use in areas subject to heavy foot and wheeled traffic, such as airports, railway stations and supermarkets.

Available in 12mm and 18mm thicknesses and in open and closed construction, the new matting system is constructed from rubber wipers and aluminium scraper linking strips which are held together with galvanised steel wires.  The rubber wipers are available as either plain pvc which are ideal for use in external environments or are available interwoven with grey polyester fibres for use in interior environments.

Karen Burman, Product Manager for Gradus, comments: “Esplanade 9000 has been rigorously tested to ensure suitability for heavy duty use of both foot and wheeled traffic and achieves a low risk of slip using the HSL ramp test for slip resistance.

“Barrier matting forms the start of the journey through a building.  Our systems help to reduce slip accidents caused by wet floors and help to maintain the aesthetics of surrounding floorcoverings by reducing the amount of dirt and moisture tracked in from foot and wheeled traffic.  This in turn, reduces maintenance costs and prolongs the life of the surrounding floorcoverings.”

The new primary barrier mat can be manufactured to most shapes and sizes, on approval of a template, and can be installed alongside Gradus’ Boulevard secondary barrier carpet.  When installed as a true rectangle or square, the mat can be reversed, which extends the life of the product.

Gradus offers a five-day manufacturing service and a full supply and fit service for primary barrier matting.  For further information on Esplanade 9000, please contact Gradus Technical Support on 01625 428922 or visit www.gradus.com.
