GRADUS CREATES BESPOKE SOLUTION FOR HOSPITAL REFURBISHMENT

04 December 2006

Gradus Accessories has created a bespoke skirting solution for use in a complete refurbishment project at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Cheshire.

The private hospital, which is part of the BMI Healthcare group, required a decorative PVC skirting to provide a neat finish to the 30 bedrooms on its general surgical ward. Spectrum Flooring Limited in Warrington, who carried out the five week flooring refurbishment, asked Gradus to look at the possible ways of combining colours and skirting shapes in order to find a product which would best fit their project requirements.

After consideration, the colour Helvellyn from the Textura range was manufactured using a profile from another Gradus product in order to create a bespoke solution. Complementing the interior design scheme, the natural stone coloured skirting was used in conjunction with vinyl floorcovering to provide an easy to clean solution for the hospital staff whilst offering a ‘home-away-from-home’ feel for the patients.

Lynette Bowden from Gradus Accessories said: “This project is a perfect example of how Gradus is able to assess individual projects and come up with the right solution to fit the requirements. We realise the importance of specifying the correct products and are able to work with contractors and architects to help meet their individual project needs.”
